practicing the rule of thirds 39/365

Yesterday we were learning about taking pictures. We were supposed to bring in something that makes us happy. I bring in my toy donkey. I was going to take a picture of it. I was learning about the rule of thirds. I had to use contrasting colours. I used angles too. I had to decide to what places were dark, because my donkey is grey and if I chose a grey background he would be camouflaged. I put the donkey on the left to fit the rule of thirds. Look at my photo

    Lovely job Kirsten. What a great explanation, I will have to start applying the rule of thirds next time I take some photos.

    I did not know that there was a rule of thirds for photography, thank you for teaching me something new Kirsten.
