We also discovered that an egg displaces the water when it goes in so the water rises!

Science Discovery Time 175/365
We had: making circuits using electricity and batteries, making popcorn on stoves, discovering swirly patterns in milk, discovering about friction with balloons, finding out what floats and sinks, making bubbles with coat-hangers and wire, discovering light using a dark space and torches, discovering the microscopic world with Digital Blue and more! What FUN!

Muffin Top! 126/365
WOW! An expanding muffin top.....some Summerlando's created this stunning plastic muffin explosion in a beaker by mixing two ingredients...the mixed together and expanded gradually to create this spongey muffin - choice! Can't wait to try this one in the classroom. The group of Summerlandos teachers experimented after school on Friday at the Science Lab in Auckland Univeristy - what fun!
